This ambitious project tells us about apocalyptical times. In fact, the opposition of civilization and culture is in the centre of the story. This stand takes place in present day. Perhaps, the most important thing here is the recognizability of the time and characters. The upper layer of the story is the real, contemporary time but mysticism is hidden beyond to make the spectator feel that the events take place here and now.

Now the conflict itself: it is known that a human life is the main value in European civilization starting from the times of the French revolution. The main value of the Christian teaching is salvation. Meaning that it is not the life itself that makes the greatest value but life is the path that leads a man to a greater value – salvation. Civilization positions life as the greatest value, justifying many vices and weaknesses referred to as sins in the Bible.

In apocalyptical times civilization rises against its coming catastrophe, trying to protect its values by all weans in front of the coming Divine Justice. Our film is about this kind of stand. The main character due to his occupation finds himself involved into this stand, where in the beginning he, as a typical representative of his time, is on the civilization’s side, but influenced by the mystics around him, he changes his opinion later. In a bigger sense it is an attempt of an ordinary man to find his place not even in the world but in some spiritual space for the days of this world are almost gone.
